Chapter 1133 - 1,132: Attack of Beast Pirates, King! Turn to Statue Immediately!
Rei Ao lifted a hand, and space rippled outward in rings like the surface of water.
In short, a seam split open in the air, swept up Nojiko, Nami, and Robin, and in the blink of an eye carried them across the Calm Belt.
When their feet hit solid ground, Nami was still dazed.
"We're here," Rei Ao said softly, like he was afraid of waking something.
The palace courtyard on Kuja Island was paved with white jade tiles. Night pearls were set into the corridor pillars, casting a pale golden glow.
Female warriors stood in ranks with bows in hand—no one made a sound.
Nojiko instinctively tugged Nami behind her.
She didn't speak, but her arm was taut with tension.
Robin adjusted her glasses.
Out of habit, she counted heads first—every single one a woman, uniformly armed, their spacing and angles clearly a combat formation.
"This place…"
She paused, lowering her voice.
"The guards are all women. The architecture looks like an ancient royal dynasty. If it were an independent regime, we should've heard of it."
Nami clenched the strap of her coin pouch.
She scanned the surroundings, so lavish it made her heart tremble.
But the more luxurious a place was, the more dangerous it tended to be—rule number one she'd learned growing up on a small island.
"H-Hey… don't tell me this is one of those islands that scams people and robs them blind…"
she muttered under her breath.
"I just barely saved up enough to buy an island. I really don't have a single coin left."
Nojiko couldn't help it—she lightly smacked the back of Nami's head.
"Stop it."
Rei Ao turned around.
He saw three expressions—wariness, curiosity, and Nami's stubborn touch my money and I'll fight you to the death look.
He smiled.
"This is Kuja Island—Amazon Lily. The only kingdom of women on the sea."
Nojiko blinked.
"A kingdom of women?"
She repeated the words like she was chewing on something strange.
"All women? Not a single man?"
Rei Ao nodded.
Nami just… choked.
She opened her mouth, closed it, opened it again.
"…So the legend is real?"
"I thought it was just some old guy in a tavern making it up to hustle people for drinks!"
Robin's fingertips rested against her chin.
She didn't speak, but her eyes lit up for an instant.
"An existence that overturns common sense," she murmured. "This trip wasn't a waste."
Before the words even finished, the doors of the main hall opened.
Boa Hancock stepped out, moving like a lotus—though "lotus" didn't really cover it.
Her stride was more like stepping on someone's heart: one step at a time, proud and razor-sharp.
Crimson eyes swept over them.
Over Nojiko. Over Nami. Over Robin.
And then stopped.
Her delicate brows drew together.
Hancock didn't ask, Who are you?
She simply shifted sideways, crossed the distance in one step, and slid in beside Rei Ao—looping her arm through his and pressing her whole body against him.
"Rei Ao-sama."
Her voice was soft enough to drip, but her gaze was cold as a blade as it carved across the three women.
"And who are these ladies? Why are they on Kuja Island—at your side?"
She put heavy emphasis on the word "at."
Nami instinctively took half a step back.
She'd seen jealousy before—just not jealousy that was this bold, this unapologetic, this domineering.
Nojiko coughed and looked away. Robin didn't dodge at all.
She watched with amused interest.
Hancock ignored them.
She leaned further into Rei Ao's chest, tipped up her face, eyes shining like stars.
"Rei Ao-sama, Hancock belongs to you alone."
"For the rest of my life… all I want is to stay by your side, to serve you."
Nami covered her mouth.
She was afraid she'd yelp out loud.
That was way—way too direct.
The tips of Nojiko's ears turned red; she pretended to study the carvings on the pillars.
Robin raised an eyebrow slightly.
"The queen of Kuja Island…"
she murmured. "So this is her temperament."
Rei Ao didn't push her away.
He only gave the back of her hand a light pat.
Hancock's lips curved, like a cat being stroked the right way.
Night deepened.
Kuja Island sank into the Calm Belt's hush.
No waves could reach here.
Now and then, palm leaves brushed together with a soft shhh, shhh.
The palace chambers glowed with warm lamplight.
Nami was already sleepy.
She hugged a pillow, eyelids drooping, still mumbling,
"Leaving my wallet on the headboard should be safe, right… it's all women here… they probably won't steal…"
Nojiko sat at the edge of the bed, gently patting her back.
"Sleep. I'll watch."
Nami hummed, and within seconds her breathing grew deep.
Robin sat by the window.
She didn't sleep.
She was watching the night sky.
The stars over the Calm Belt were unusually bright.
And then—
A sharp tearing sound cut through the air. Something flew in.
Not a bird.
Not a ship.
A pterosaur.
Huge—blotting out the sky—wings trailing embers and scorched flame.
Robin shot to her feet.
"Enemy attack—"
The alarm didn't even have time to sound. The pterosaur had already come to a stop above Kuja Island.
King the Wildfire.
He shifted into human form in midair, black wings folding into a cloak.
He lowered his gaze, surveying the island—women everywhere, no aura of strength to speak of.
Easy terrain to defend, hard to assault; the Calm Belt as a natural barrier—perfect.
"From today on,"
King's voice wasn't loud, yet the whole island heard it.
"Kuja Island belongs to the Beasts Pirates."
The female warriors drew their bows to full draw, arrowheads aimed at the night sky. No one stepped back—but no one could face that pressure without their heart pounding.
King didn't look at them. Ants weren't worth looking at.
Then a streak of pink light shot up from the palace, straight into the sky.
Boa Hancock hovered opposite him.
She hadn't even removed her royal robes; a few strands of her long hair were scattered by the night wind.
She held no weapon—just one hand on her hip, chin raised.
"Impudent brute," she said, voice clear and sharp with anger.
"State your name."
King paused for half a beat.
This woman—she could fly?
And she wasn't a Devil Fruit user?
His expression tightened as he answered coldly:
"Beasts Pirates. King the Wildfire. The New World is in chaos. A treasure like Kuja Island should be ruled by the strong."
He paused, then added, "If you know what's good for you, submit."
Hancock said nothing.
She smiled first.
Not a sneer. Not a cold laugh.
The kind of smile a queen gives when she's looking at a tiny bug that doesn't know its place—genuinely amused.
"A dog under Kaido," she said softly. "And you think you're worthy of barking on Kuja Island?"
King's face darkened instantly. He didn't waste another word.
Flames surged around him. His pterosaur form manifested in a flash—black feathers, raging fire, vicious bone spurs.
He dove straight down, terrifyingly fast—so fast the air itself seemed to wail.
Hancock didn't dodge.
She lifted a hand, the motion light as brushing a fallen flower off her shoulder.
A pink, heart-shaped shockwave spread from her palm—not a beam, but a wide, diffusing field, a smothering veil.
Sweet-Sweet Wind!
King's movement locked in midair.
He looked down.
Saw his hand—coated in stone.
Saw his wings—solidifying into an ashen, gray-white statue.
He tried to shout.
His throat had already turned to stone.
In the last flicker of awareness, only one thought remained:
This woman… what the hell is she…
The statue dropped straight into the Calm Belt sea.
No splash.
Not even a ripple worth speaking of.
