Help! the four Alpha's are obsessed with me.

Chapter 222 The last reveal

Chapter 222 The last reveal

Back at their base, a call came through to Thomas Cardew that Michael Lewis had finally been identified by a group of people in a nearby town.

He stopped whatever he was doing immediately.

Even though he still had a mission to handle in the underworld, helping Daniel was now top priority.

"So where is the person in question?" he spoke into the phone, shirtless as he moved around inside the huge cabin.

Nodding slowly at whatever was being said from the other end, he began loading bullets one after another, preparing five guns for the mission before moving on to the next thing on his list.

Norman wasn’t around yet, but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t join.

He had only gone out to make sure Charles was safe, taking it upon himself to monitor Charles’ movements whenever he stepped out. Thomas didn’t mind.

The two of them were both madly obsessed with the man, so they had come to an agreement—do everything possible to keep Charles far away from their world, while still protecting him from a distance.

They were dangerous men to stay close to.

They had inherited too many enemies from the clans they had raided over the years, and if Charles remained near them, he would only become a target.

So for now, they had to keep him away.

But that didn’t mean they weren’t already claiming him in their hearts.

Once the mission of erasing their enemies was over... then they could finally drag Charles into their world for good.

"Okay, Michael... where exactly have you been hiding?" Thomas muttered to himself.

After taking a quick hot shower, he got dressed and prepared to leave. According to the plan, he was supposed to meet Norman in front of the cabin so they could head out together.

Pocketing everything he needed, Thomas jumped straight out of the cabin window and landed hard on the ground below—

—only to meet Norman already seated behind the steering wheel.

"Get in now. There’s no time. Let’s make sure Michael is safe..." Norman called out.

At once, Thomas hurried over, entered from the other side, and sat down beside him.

The moment the door shut, Norman sped off immediately.

They drove like madmen through the busy road, bypassing cops who screamed at them to stop, honking violently as they cut through traffic with reckless speed until they finally left New York City behind.

The moment the wretched town came into view, Thomas let out a long sigh.

This was the tenth time they had come here.

And this time, at the very least, he hoped they would leave with an actual clue about where Michael had been staying.

"This better be the last time we’re coming here because this town disgusts me so much." Norman grimaced, finally stopping the car at the border of the town.

He parked beside the thick trees surrounding the place, and together the two men stepped out, exchanging a brief look.

"I’m confident we’ll get something this time. Something feels different... I can feel it," Thomas assured his brother.

Norman pulled out his gun and tucked it beside his belt before walking forward.

Side by side, the two men entered the town—

—and as expected, all eyes fell on them again.

People began whispering.

Gossiping.

Murmuring among themselves.

"What do you think they’re looking for again?" an old woman selling wares asked her neighbor, who was fetching water from a tap not too far from her stall.

"I don’t know. Probably to ask about that man they called Michael," the woman replied with a dismissive roll of her eyes before continuing to fill her bucket.

But the old woman’s eyes never left the two men.

She was seriously contemplating whether to approach them... whether to help them with what she knew.

But that was a huge risk.

With the large family depending on her, she couldn’t afford to gamble with all their lives.

"They would harm us... better I mind my business," the old woman muttered to herself, forcing her attention back to her wares.

The neighbor fetching water, however, kept glaring at her.

"Looks like you want to die, old hag. Are you really that tired of life already?" she muttered under her breath before lifting her bucket and walking away.

Meanwhile, the duo kept moving through the town, meeting curious gazes.

Some stared too long.

Others quickly looked away the moment their eyes met.

And it made Thomas increasingly suspicious.

Something wasn’t right.

The townspeople looked... spooked.

"So, you noticed something different around here too?" Thomas asked quietly.

Norman nodded.

"Obviously. They started avoiding our eyes the moment we arrived. Someone already interrogated them... I can feel it."

Thomas shook his head.

That was exactly what he had been thinking too.

Still, they didn’t stop anyone.

They simply kept walking until they reached the building belonging to the man they had come to see.

They didn’t enter.

They only stood outside.

A man soon stepped out to meet them.

"You two are here. Come in, let’s discuss," the man urged with a smile.

Thomas smirked coldly.

"Thanks, buddy. But do what you promised first. Where exactly did you say you saw the guy we’re looking for? Or the person who witnessed his routines? It’s suspicious that no one in this town knows him. You people aren’t telling the truth."

The man’s smile widened.

"Of course. I promised you full answers. That’s why I told you both to come in. The person who saw him is inside waiting for you."

Norman stepped closer and casually patted the man on the shoulder.

"Really? The person is inside... and you can’t bring them out here to meet us? But instead you want us to walk in?" He gave a slow smile. "Well... nice to meet you, buddy."

Then, without warning, Norman slid out the gun hidden beneath his belt—

—and fired مباشرة into the man’s forehead.

A deep hole exploded through his skull.

The man dropped flat to the ground, blood gushing out before life instantly left his body.

Thomas groaned.

"Such a useless idiot. Trying to lure us in there and kill us? What exactly does he take us for... fools?" he sighed, already exhausted, and they had only just begun.

"Well, let’s ask the other inhabitants and take this seriously."

But before he could even finish turning—

Norman suddenly bolted.

With one swift movement, he swung the small knife in his hand toward Thomas’ back—

—and a hidden figure immediately got struck, crashing face-first onto the ground.

Apparently, the person had been tailing them for a while.

And when she tried to run for it, she had no idea Norman had already noticed her long ago.

She was caught instantly.

Norman strolled forward with eerie calm, grabbed the person harshly by the hair, and yanked with brutal force.

A deafening scream tore out from the person as the scalp burned with pain.

At that moment, the cloth covering the figure’s face slipped away—

—and it was the same woman.

The neighbor who had been fetching water earlier.

"Interesting..." Thomas grinned as he stared at the bleeding woman struggling to stand.

But with Norman’s deathly grip locked in her hair, she couldn’t move.

She tried desperately to fight him off, but the man’s hand was like iron.

Instead, he slammed her head heavily again, making her choke on another cry.

"Can you confess now... or should we force you?" Norman asked, his tone disturbingly calm.

The woman was terrified out of her mind.

After seeing what had happened to the man just moments ago, she knew exactly what kind of monsters she was dealing with.

And with her family hanging over her head like a curse, she had no choice but to tell the truth.

"Okay! Okay! We know who Michael Lewis is!" she blurted out in panic.

Of course she knew.

And recently, the town had found out that Michael was a doctor, which meant he was supposed to be known, and that alone had fooled Thomas and Norman for a while.

They silently regretted not doing a deeper background search on Michael before coming here.

"A rich man... a very rich man... took Michael away one afternoon," the woman began trembling.

"One of our people saw him do it and threatened to expose him, but the man promised her that if she stayed quiet, he would fund her family and improve her living conditions. Unfortunately for him, more people found out... so he silenced all of us with money. He kept helping our hard lives, and in exchange we kept our mouths shut."

The revelation made both men go still.

They didn’t know for certain who the man was—

—but they already had a suspicion.

Still...

It couldn’t be Mr. Lancaster.

That useless creature shouldn’t have been capable of something like this.

But they let her continue.

"We didn’t hear from him for a long time. Then suddenly he returned... with a broken leg."

Thomas’ eyes narrowed.

"And he threatened that anyone who said a word would die. I was ordered to monitor the town and report everything... or my family would suffer for it."

She broke down completely.

"Please don’t kill me... please... please..." she rambled, sobbing.

Thomas stared at her for a long moment.

A broken leg?

Then it really might be Mr. Alessandro Lancaster.

But how?

Hadn’t that bastard been dealt with already?

Had he gotten out of prison?

Without saying a word, Thomas pulled out his phone and brought up a picture.

He shoved it in front of her face.

"Is this him?"

He was genuinely hoping it wasn’t.

Because if it was...

Daniel would go berserk.

Unfortunately, the woman nodded frantically.

Norman’s face darkened.

Without waiting even a second—

—he grabbed her head and snapped it cleanly.

A sickening crack echoed through the air as her body dropped lifelessly to the ground.

"Fuck!" Thomas exploded.

"We’ve been wasting too much time. I can’t believe he survived what I did to him. That filthy trash!"

He was boiling with rage.

Immediately, he took off running with Norman right behind him, and together they stormed into the house of the man they had killed earlier.

Thomas was smashing aside anything that blocked his path.

Furniture.

Broken wood.

Debris.

He destroyed it all in a violent frenzy until they reached the sitting room—

—and there, tied to a chair, was a man with an unimaginable number of holes torn through his body.

His head was hanging low.

His breathing—if there was any—was too weak to hear.

He looked like he had been on the edge of death for a very long time.

Norman rushed forward at once, trying to see if there was any chance of saving him—

—but to his horror...

The man wasn’t breathing anymore.

Michael was already dead.

And the horrible stench filling the room made it worse.

He had already started decomposing.

Norman’s face turned grim.

How the hell had Mr. Lancaster planned all of this so perfectly?

They had been played from the very beginning.

And Daniel...

Daniel was never going to take this well.

Thomas let out a furious roar, tearing his shirt off in pure rage.

"We failed him, Norman! We failed Daniel!" he shouted, his voice cracking with fury and devastation.

"We couldn’t protect Michael!"

He dropped to his knees, staring at the horrifying state Michael had been left in.

The suffering this man must have gone through...

It was monstrous.

It was inhuman.

And in that moment, only one thought burned in Thomas’ head:

Mr. Lancaster was probably the worst evil out there.
