Chapter 319 - 318: The Lynch Family Boy with a Fateful Encounter
"It’s truly a blessing for Hugo Lynch to have an agent like you."
The deputy general manager praised the agent, admiring his skills. He managed to bring Caleb Holt closer while stepping over Leo White.
Moreover, the rival film that competed with Hugo Lynch’s at the box office was completely crushed. Even before it started filming, its failure was already destined.
South Grant had almost finished recording and was about to leave, turning off the phone.
The waitress who had gone to the restroom earlier returned. Upon seeing South Grant still standing there, she approached and said:
"Thank you! You look unfamiliar, did you just start working here?"
"Yes." To avoid further complications, South Grant simply nodded and turned to walk out.
Just then, South Grant’s phone rang, prompting the waitress to frown slightly before saying:
"Phones are not allowed during work hours here, or else you’ll be fined."
The commotion between the two waitresses caught the attention of Hugo Lynch’s agent and the deputy general manager, who then looked over.
"I’ll sort it out with the supervisor later. You stay here, I’m heading out." After saying this, South Grant turned and left.
At this point, Hugo Lynch’s agent frowned, sensing something was off.
The deputy general manager looked at Hugo Lynch’s agent, frowning as he asked, "What’s going on?"
"That waitress just now seemed suspicious."
"How so?"
"I found her familiar, like I’ve seen her somewhere before."
After saying this, Hugo Lynch’s agent frowned in thought. It took a moment before a sudden realization struck him.
"Quick, get someone to stop her. I’ve remembered! When Ian Grant attended a party with his wife years ago, I accompanied Director Irving and met Ian Grant’s wife. She looks a lot like Ian Grant’s wife; she’s from The Grant Family."
At this point, the deputy general manager realized that the person had likely recorded their conversation with a phone.
In their panic, they hurried to their feet. The bodyguards stationed at the door, hearing the commotion, rushed to chase after South Grant, followed by the agent and the deputy general manager.
South Grant, wearing high heels, was usually accustomed to sneakers and canvas shoes. Walking in high heels was still manageable, but running was a nightmare.
As they got closer from behind, South Grant turned and kicked off her high heel shoes.
The high heel struck someone directly in the face, causing him to clutch his face and crouch down.
South Grant, barefoot, ran forward, secretly pleased. A woman’s high heel is indeed a weapon; it leaves a dent when it hits your face.
The hotel staff downstairs were unaware of what happened, but hearing the commotion of shouting and running upstairs, the security downstairs also rushed up.
Seeing no way forward, South Grant quickly turned a corner into another hallway.
Chester Lynch was having a gathering with classmates today. Having graduated from high school, they would soon part ways, so they decided to meet one last time today.
He initially wanted to invite South Grant, but heard that South Grant was injured recently and missed the college entrance exams.
Not sure if he could come out today, Chester Lynch decided not to bother him.
All the classmates had left by now, and a slightly intoxicated Chester Lynch lay on the table for a while.
Opening the door to leave, he saw a girl dressed in a uniform running down the hallway.
Chester Lynch raised his head. Upon seeing her, his eyes narrowed slightly; wasn’t that South?
Despite looking entirely different from when disguised as a man, when someone is in your heart, no matter how they change, you can recognize them from their silhouette.
