Chapter 287: The Disrespect is Real!

In the end, Hakodate Nishi accepted the fact that their schedule had been moved abruptly to the evening session. Of course, they didn’t do it peacefully. Some of the hot-tempered guys like Fujinaga and Jun kept shouting even after walking out of the stadium.

"This is a fucking disgrace!" Fujinaga cursed furiously. "How could you act so nonchalantly after such a huge mistake?! Let’s see if you can stay this calm after we blow it up on the Internet!"

"Yeah, you fucker! You think you are good enough just because this is your home?!" Jun added, making so many rude gestures with his hand. "Don’t think you can get away with this shit, Man!"

Honestly, all the Toin Gakuen players wanted to be angry for all the insults thrown at them. However, they couldn’t really say anything here, not when the stadium completely sided with them. They still didn’t know whether this was deliberate or not, but at least, this incident was enough to spark a heat between those two teams.

"Okay, everyone, since our schedule has been moved, let’s switch it with our meeting first," Kumiko called all of her players to follow her.

Her calm demeanor startled some of them, and Kenji, being a curious boy he was, couldn’t help but ask, "Senpai, aren’t you angry for this?"

The others also looked at the girl secretly, not wanting to draw too much attention due to their curiosity. However, they all felt like out of everyone else, she should be the angriest here. After all, if Hakodate Nishi’s head coach were anyone other than her, a mere female student, they wouldn’t be disrespected this badly by everyone here.

As an answer, Kumiko just turned her head slowly, giving the boys her purest smile that could make even a baby cry. "Oh, don’t get me wrong, I am so furious right now." She said it sweetly. "I have already had a list of things they did to tick me off, and I will get my revenge later. Just make sure that you shut them up, and leave everything outside of the pitch for me, okay?"

All the Hakodate Nishi players shivered, nodding their heads quickly. "Sure, Ma’am!" Hell, they even forgot their anger for a moment, all getting snatched by Kumiko herself.

They soon arrived back at the hotel, asking the management to borrow one meeting room there. Fortunately, this time, there was no disrespect, and they could just start the meeting without any problem. However, the tension was quite high already, especially with Kumiko being in quite a foul mood right there.

"Okay, even though we only met them for a short time, I know that you heard about what they were saying, right?" The girl spoke solemnly. "Yes, we defeat Sapporo Otani, and yes, they acknowledge us as a strong team, but they would rather play against us rather than having to fight against Yuwell Carlson..."

This made all the jolly and relaxed atmosphere that still remained there leave the room, as everyone was immediately tense. Not all of them heard that, but the closest ones, like Makino and Higo, caught what some of those people said not-so-secretly.

"Let’s be honest here. Since the article from the Daily Sports was published, we have already expected this. We would be disrespected more for the rest of the tournament, being put aside for almost everything. No matter how good we are, people outside, especially our opponent, will always say that it is better for us than Yuwell Fucking Carlson! Can you really accept this insult?!"

"No, Ma’am!" Everyone shouted together.

This wasn’t just for their anger, but when the girl who usually was very calm suddenly cursed like this, they had to answer the call.

Higo just nodded silently, giving everyone a thumbs-up.

"Defenders, the twins at the flanks with Makino-kun, Jun-kun, and Ishinori-kun guarding the center." The girl continued.

Jun was the only one who was surprised here, since he didn’t really play well in the last couple of games. The boy thought that he would be replaced by Sano, but it seemed that Kumiko still trusted him in a big game like tomorrow.

"Midfield, I will leave it to Kazawa-kun, Takaaki-kun, and Usami-kun."

Even though Fujinaga was disappointed that he wasn’t chosen again, he didn’t say anything here. The boy knew that this was not the time he could put his ego on the line. No, the team’s honor first, and if he had a chance to contribute later, he would go with his 110 percent for that.
